WRCA Sports Program

W.R.C.A. uses sports as an avenue to build Godly character. Developing discipline in all areas of the sports allows the students to develop life long habits into vehicles that carry them into their futures. Playing sports at W.R.C.A. also teaches the athletes the benefits of being dedicated to a cause. There is a high stress with sacrificing the individual for the good of the whole. The measurement of success is not in the win/loss column, but rather on the daily improvement in these areas over their time at WRCA. Players, parents and coaches relationships are also valued as everyone together is working towards the same goal. Together everyone achieves more and this is the building of our community.

The teams are active in the South Surrey/White Rock area with playing, competing, volunteering, and interacting within the community...

For the 10th time in the last dozen years, the championship banner for the Surrey RCMP Basketball Classic will hang in the rubber-floored gym/sanctuary of White Rock Christian Academy in South Surrey. WRCA wins HSBC Basketball Classic.
It wasn't the start the White Rock Christian Warriors were looking for, but thanks to a huge third quarter, the senior boys hoops squad got the end result right - winning the HSBC Basketball Classic with a 63-55 win over Vancouver College Saturday night at UBC.
Van College's Fighting Irish began the game on a 15-3 run, and though White Rock buckled down...


December 10 2009:
HSBC Basketball: White Rock Warriors win in OT to advance to semifinals.
It was only two years ago that the Sir Charles Tupper Tigers didn't have a player who could touch the rim. Rookie centre Cameron Smythe has to duck to keep himself from hitting his head on the backboard.
Not quite, but give him a few years. The dude is 6-10 and only 15-years-old...
